Your parent meeting will be held in your child’s classroom at the time listed above, but we will also be having our annual Open House in the gym. There you will be able to meet other classroom teachers as well as our specialty area teachers, special education teachers, and other educational support staff.  They will be there to meet you, as well as, answer any questions that you might have about their specific area of instruction.  New students and kindergarteners will be able to take a tour of the school and familiarize themselves with the campus.

Our cafeteria manager, Ms. Joann, will be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have about the school nutrition program. You may also go ahead and put money in your child’s lunch account, or if you want to go ahead and turn in a free/reduced lunch form, she can help with that as well.

Our school nurse, Ms. Karen, will be present for you to discuss any special health needs that your child might have. She will also have information about the Telemedicine program that we have available at Prospect.

Our front office staff, Ms. Lisa and Ms. Shelia, will be available to answer any other questions that you might have. They can also provide you with transportation information. If your child is going to be a car rider, you will need to pick up your “Car Rider” tags from them. Each student, who is a car rider, will receive two “Car Rider” tags. If you need additional car tags, they will cost $1.00.

Lastly, you may go ahead and bring your child’s school supplies that night and help them set up their desk. We are expecting to receive donations of backpacks filled with school supplies from area churches and community organizations. If your child needs a backpack and school supplies, just see Ms. Lisa or Ms. Shelia, and they will get you what you need.

It is our goal to make your and your child’s experience at Prospect a positive one. We are looking forward to another great year, and to our new students, we would like to say WELCOME to the Prospect family. GO VIKIINGS!!!
