Prospect Library Mission Statement:

The goal of the Prospect School Library is to enrich and support the educational program of the school. Our purpose is to promote the development of self-confident and literate students, to create life-long learners, and to encourage reading and learning for both pleasure and information.

Library Policies and Procedures:

  • Books are checked out for up to 10 days.
  • Students in grades K and 1st check out one book at a time. Students in 2nd – 5th grades may check out 2 books.
  • Students may renew a checked out book for one extra week. Additional renewals are up to the discretion of the librarian.
  • Lost or damaged books must be paid for before another book may be checked out.
  • Classes visit the library twice in one week.

Family Reading Night will begin on Tuesday, August 20 (3:00-6:00 pm).  The Library will be open each Tuesday for students to read and test in the Accelerated Reader (AR) program. Parents must accompany their children. So the welcome mat is out. Come join us and enjoy some quality reading time with your child.
